The Wyoming Nonprofit Network, in partnership with the Wyoming Community Foundation, is excited to support the Star Valley Community Learning Event on Friday, April 25, 2025. Whether you are a nonprofit professional, board member, or community leader interested in learning more about the nonprofit sector, these learning and networking opportunities are intended for you.
Schedule:
- Board Fundamentals Workshop - 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Networking Break – 2:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
- WyoGives Workshop – 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Registration covers participation in both workshops. However, attendees also have the option to attend either the Board Fundamentals Workshop or the WyoGives Workshop separately as individual learning opportunities.
Board Fundamentals Workshop – During this two-hour workshop, attendees will discuss the primary functions of a nonprofit board of directors, including responsibilities, legal obligations, and how to facilitate a productive relationship with the organization’s executive. In addition to the information delivered, attendees will receive a 10-page handout with workshop content and links to relevant resources.
WyoGives Workshop – WyoGives, an initiative of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network, is a powerful statewide 24-hour online fundraising event designed to raise funds and awareness for Wyoming's nonprofits. Since its launch in 2020, WyoGives has raised over $14 million for organizations across the state that provide essential services. In this two-hour hands-on workshop, attendees will learn more about WyoGives 2025 and build an actionable outreach plan to reach the organization’s fundraising goal for the state’s annual giving day.

Tess holds a master’s in public administration, with a focus on nonprofits, from the University of Wyoming, and has served as executive director, director of development, and board member in the nonprofit sector.
