Topic: The Changing Face of Healthcare 

At this meeting we will learn about alternatives to the current health insurance options that will help increase the quality of care, increase access, and decrease the cost of healthcare to employers and employees. Dr. Surdam will discuss ways to increase access to health care in our rural communities with telemedicine and direct primary care models.  His discussion will point to ways to decrease the cost of healthcare while increasing the quality of healthcare.

Presenter - Dan Surdam, MD 

Dr. Surdam was born and raised in Laramie, Wyoming. He graduated from Colorado College in 1997 and Creighton Medical School in 2002. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. He served at the Medical Director of the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Emergency Department and the Operations Manager of Cheyenne Regional Urgent Care for many years and was previous owner of Frontier Emergency Physicians. Dr. Surdam has owned a billing company and several urgent care centers in Wyoming and Texas and is the owner of Stitches Acute Care Centers. He is a true entrepreneur with a desire to help Wyoming and its people gain better access to quality, affordable healthcare.
