Mission Statement
The mission of the Native Memory Project is:
“Connecting the past with the present by documenting and preserving the stories, histories, and cultural traditions of Indigenous peoples and others with strong historical ties to the Northern Rockies and adjacent Plains, especially those that pass on knowledge which is in danger of being lost or forgotten.”
NMP supports place-based education and local learning by developing resources associated with these stories for knowledge-sharing, in partnership with interdisciplinary collaborators - local, regional and national.
