Topic for July:

Come learn about the BBB Charity Accreditation program, a program of the BBB Center for Nonprofit Excellence Serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming. This program helps donors make informed giving decisions and promotes high standards among organizations that solicit contributions from the public. The 20 Standards for Charity Accountability are a baseline set of best practices and review four key areas of interest to donors:

- Financial Management

- Fundraising and information materials

- Governance and oversight

- Measuring effectiveness

BBB does not rank charities but rather seeks to assist donors in making informed judgments about those that solicit their support. A BBB staff member will walk through the 20 standards of charity accountability, describe how the accreditation process works and answer questions.
