The financial aspect of running a non-profit can be a daunting task. Grants, expenses, salaries - it can all be incredibly confusing. This training will be geared at making it less difficult, and will discuss how to read financial statements, and how to ensure your organization is taking that information to manage your current and future budgeting needs.
Our Speaker - Nicholas Grooms
Nicholas was born and raised in Casper. He is an alumnus of the University of Wyoming and the University of Texas where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in accounting. Nicholas earned his CPA license and started his career with a CPA firm in Laramie, Wyoming in 2004. In 2013 he moved back to his hometown and joined Grooms & Harkins, PC. Nicholas has 15 years of experience auditing not-for-profit entities ranging from small single mission programs to large organizations including recipients of federal grants. Nicholas currently serves on the board of the Casper Area Economic Development Alliance, the Casper Downtown Development Association, Hilltop Bank, and is active in many commissions at his church. Nicholas is a member of the Wyoming Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
