Protecting the Johnson Amendment
The Wyoming Nonprofit Network believes that remaining nonpartisan is vital to the work of charitable nonprofits and joins the National Council of Nonprofits and organizations across the country in opposing the repeal or weakening of the Johnson Amendment. The Johnson Amendment is a provision in the U.S. tax code enacted in 1954 that prohibits 501(c)(3) organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates. Read full position here.
Implement a Universal Deduction
The Wyoming Nonprofit Network supports a non-itemizer (universal) deduction that provides a tax incentive for all tax-payers. Read full position here.
