Together with our partner, the National Council of Nonprofits, we are committed to monitoring and acting on policy changes that impact the work of nonprofits. We also promote the active engagement of nonprofits in advocacy to advance their missions.
The National Council of Nonprofits has been very active in organizing and informing advocacy efforts for the nonprofit sector in all COVID-19 policy issues and legislation. See their progress report on 2020 Nonprofit Policy Issues. See our COVID-19 page for related bills and programs. Our members help support our ally membership to the National Council of Nonprofits.
Protecting the Johnson Amendment

The Johnson Amendment is a provision in the U.S. tax code enacted in 1954 that prohibits 501(c)(3) organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates. Read full position here.
